KHS manufactures new pouch filling and sealing system

The KHS Group has manufactured a new pouch filling and sealing system, made specifically for the packaging of dry products in single-serve formats.

The Innopouch IM Focus is a horizontal form/fill/seal pouching machine, which is capable of forming and filling up to 100 pouches a minute.

KHS has created the machine to cater to the rising popularity of single-serve products among its manufacturing clients, and the machine can package a range of products such as beverage mixes, food products and powder for agricultural use.

Manufacturers using the Innopouch IM Focus can produce three- and four-sided and bottom side seam pouches in a range of sizes, ranging from 50mm in width and 50mm in height to widths and heights of up to 195mm and 240mm respectively.

According to KHS, the machine can be easily cleaned, resulting in “considerable savings in both time and cost, especially when filling dry products.”
