Krones has completed the acquisition of US-based equipment manufacturer Sprinkman Corporation for an undisclosed sum.
Sprinkman’s range of manufacturing equipment includes food and beverage processing equipment for clients in the dairy, liquid food and brewing industries.
The company provides equipment to companies ranging from microbreweries to multinationals, and its client base includes companies such as Land O’Lakes, MillerCoors and Kikkoman.
Krones says that Sprinkman generates approximately $35 million in annual revenue, and that the acquisition will enhance its position in the North American market.
In particular, Krones claims that the acquisition enhances the capabilities of the “House of Krones” product portfolio in North America, which includes process technology solutions, bottling and packaging equipment, intralogistics, IT solutions, plastics recycling, and lifecycle service support.
Sprinkman’s headquarters and management will remain in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and its production facility in Elroy, Wisconsin will remain operational.
