UK powdered food brand Huel has launched a new mint chocolate chip pre-blend powder, following on from the release of a mint chocolate chip Flavour Boost last year.
Huel offers consumers a range of “nutritionally complete” foods which are said to contain the recommended balance of protein, carbs, fibre and fats, plus all 26 essential vitamins and minerals needed on a daily basis.
The new pre-blend powder, which is made to be mixed with water, is “designed for those who enjoy a rich chocolatey shake with a refreshing twist of mint”.
In 2017, the company released the Flavour Boosts line, allowing consumers to customise their Huel powders.
The new mint chocolate chip launch joins a range of pre-blended powders, which includes flavours such as vanilla, coffee, berry, and unflavoured. It is available with a recommended retail price of £45 for 28 “meals”.
In October, Huel launched into China as it aims to take advantage of Chinese consumers’ demand for imported foods.
The business has partnered with Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com, giving the brand access to its 300 million users.
Founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Julian Hearn and nutrition expert James Collier, Huel was launched in the US in 2017 before further expansion to Europe this year. The brand has now sold over 25 million meals across 80 countries.
