Nestlé Toll House has launched a two-strong Edible Cookie Dough range to offer consumers a convenient snacking option.
Made with ingredients such as butter and chocolate, the chocolate chip flavour contains no preservatives, artificial colours or artificial flavours.
Meanwhile, the chocolate chip peanut butter monster variant combines peanut butter, oats, and candy-coated chocolate, and contains no artificial flavours.
Christyna Chandler, associate brand manager at Nestlé Toll House, said: “We know cookie dough is hard to resist, so we wanted to bring the experience of eating cookie dough straight from the mixer to consumers in a safe and convenient way.”
Both flavours are available in the US with a suggested retail price of $5.49 for a 15oz tub.
The company said that baking the product is not recommended as it has been formulated to be eaten right out of the tub. In order to be safe to consume in this way, Nestlé removed ingredients, such as eggs, that are important for the baking process.
Each Edible Cookie Dough flavour is now available in the US with a suggested retail price of $5.49 for a 15oz tub.
Last year, Nestlé Toll House released an allergen-free chocolate chip product line for use in baking, which is free from all eight major allergens: peanut, tree nut, milk, egg, wheat, soy, fish and shellfish.
