Nestlé has added to its Munchies brand in the UK and Ireland with the launch of two new flavours: chocolate fudge brownie and cookie dough.
The variants, which represent the first new Munchies products since 1996, took just six months to develop and bring to market.
“We are thrilled to bring these two tasty new flavours to our Munchies family,” said Munchies brand manager Cat Mews. “Our teams in York and Fawdon have worked tirelessly over the last six months to bring these new flavours to our loyal Munchies fans.
“It’s a real delight to see (and taste) the results of our hard work. Reaction so far has been amazing and we can’t wait to see what’s next for Munchies.”
Nestlé said its research revealed that chocolate fudge brownie and cookie dough were the most preferred new Munchies flavours.
Chocolate fudge brownie is available in all major UK and Ireland retailers and cookie dough is exclusive to Tesco, Booker and One Stop Stores.
In March, Nestlé expanded its confectionery portfolio with the release of Milkybar Mix Ups, a line of Milkybar buttons that combine white chocolate with milk chocolate for the first time.
The products contain a mix of classic Milkybar white chocolate buttons with a cocoa filling and milk chocolate buttons with a milky filling.
