Vital Farms has launched a line of ghee butter in squeeze bottles as well as liquid whole eggs in cartons, as it aims to offer more simplicity in the kitchen.
The US company’s ghee butter is made from pasture-raised butter and is available in a 7.5oz squeeze bottle in two variants: original and Himalayan pink salt.
According to Vital Farms, the lactose-free ghee is suitable for frying and sautéing, and can also be added to toast, popcorn or coffee.
Meanwhile, the liquid whole eggs are suitable for speeding up cooking or baking with precise measurements, and can be used for making scrambled eggs, omelettes or quiches.
Both products are initially exclusively available at Whole Foods Market stores in the US.
Scott Marcus, Vital Farms chief marketing officer, said: “People shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for convenience in the kitchen. So we set out to give them the highest quality, most ethically produced foods in more versatile and easier-to-use formats.
“We believe consumers can and should enjoy Vital Farms’ delicious products and high standards even when short on time.”
“Vital Farms has been an important partner to us for more than ten years,” said Lee Robinson, director for Whole Foods Market’s global grocery team. “We’re excited to bring our shoppers new products from a brand they know and love.”
