Puratos UK has released two complementary cake mix and filling combinations that are inspired by trends for tradition and nostalgia.
The launches include a Topfil Rhubarb fruit filling and Satin Crème Cake Custard Mix, as well as a Cremfil Ultim Salted Chocolate filling and Satin Crème Cake Speculoos Mix.
The Cake Custard Mix and Cake Speculoos Mix are the latest additions to Puratos UK’s Satin Crème Cake range. Both contain only natural flavours and are suitable for applications such as muffins, loaf cakes and pancakes.
For a classic rhubarb and custard flavour combination, the Custard Mix can be paired with the Topfil Rhubarb fruit filling, which contains more than 50% real fruit.
Meanwhile, the Speculoos Mix and Cremfil Ultim Salted Chocolate filling are said to be suitable for creating a sweet and savoury flavour profile. Made using Belgian chocolate, the bake stable Ultim filling can be used to create a lower-calorie finished product.

The launch of the new Topfil Rhubarb fruit filling follows Puratos’s acquisition of fillings and sauces supplier Fruitapeel in 2017.
