Meat snacks company Jack Link’s has launched a new Beef Bar line as it aims to offer consumers a “permissible protein hit”.
Made with 100% beef, the range is available in the UK in two flavours: original, and sweet and hot.
At just under 70 calories per bar, the line is described as “the perfect gluten-free mid-afternoon snack for nutritionally aware consumers” and a “great alternative to sugar-laden snacks”.
“We’re delighted to announce the launch of Jack Link’s Beef Bar into the burgeoning meat snacking category,” said Kenneth Ruigrok, marketing manager for Jack Link’s.
The bars are available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £1.50 or £3.50 per three-pack.
“The new format will offer shoppers an alternative to the existing protein bar offerings, which are heavily focussed on sweet rather than savoury options.
“We saw a significant gap in the market for on-the-go savoury bar formats – this product represents an exciting opportunity for retailers looking to drive incremental sales amongst the growing audience who are on the lookout for these savoury protein snacks.”
Both Beef Bar variants are now available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £1.50 per 22.5g bar or £3.50 per three-pack.
Last month, Jack Link’s released a new jerky range under its Peperami that blends cured, dried and beechwood smoked beef and pork.
