Hain Daniels has expanded its Linda McCartney Foods range in the UK with new Vegetarian Southern-Style Chicken and Vegetarian Fishcakes.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans, the British food brand aims to provide consumers with fantastic meat-free alternatives.
Made from soya and wheat protein, the chicken-style pieces have a ‘crispy golden fried coating with a spice blend that’s synonymous with the South’.
The vegetarian food brand recommends serving the alternative Southern-Style Chicken with chips and slaw for the ultimate comfort food.
Created to meet the growing demand for more fish-free options, the fishcakes contain Thai-inspired flavours of lemongrass, lime and chilli and are coated in crisp lemon and parsley breadcrumb.
The company claims that its plant-based fishcakes are quick and simple to cook, making it easier for consumers to reduce their meat consumption.
Linda McCartney’s Fishcakes are available now in Tesco, while both products will be available from the freezer aisle at Sainsbury’s from 22nd September for an RRP of £2 per pack.
