US snack brand Bada Bean Bada Boom has expanded its line of crunchy broad bean snacks with two new flavours: Zesty Ranch and Sweet Onion & Mustard.
Owned by Beyond Better Foods, the roasted broad bean snacks offer a plant-based, lower-carb alternative to ranch and honey mustard-flavoured junk foods ‘without compromising on flavour or texture’.
The range of snacks are made with few ingredients: broad beans (fava beans), sunflower oil and seasonings, offering consumers a low-carb snack option that is vegan, gluten-free and non-GMO.
Each 1-ounce serving contains 6g of plant-based protein and 3g of fibre.
“Every aspect of Bada Bean – from the bright packaging and catchy name to the bold flavours and satisfying crunch – is designed to put a smile on your face,” said CEO and founder of Beyond Better Foods Michael Shoretz.
Shoretz added: “I’m especially excited about this launch because we were able to take non-vegan flavours and create healthier, vegan-friendly versions that pack the same delicious punch.”
Zesty Ranch and Sweet Onion & Mustard Bada Bean snacks are now available online for an RRP of $3.99 per 3oz and $1.99 per 1oz.
Bada Bean Bada Boom is a brand within Beyond Better Foods, a New York City-based company that aims to create healthier snack options. Other offers in the Beyond Better portfolio include Cloud10, a marshmallow-based snack brand, and Enlightened, a low-calorie ice cream brand.
