Hain Daniels has launched three seasonal products under its Linda McCartney Foods range, to provide consumers in the UK with a greater variety of festive meat-free products.
Featuring a Vegetarian Roast, Vegetarian Red Onion and Rosemary Stuffing Balls, and a Vegetarian Turkey and Cranberry Plait, Linda McCartney’s range is targeted at consumers who are looking to reduce their meat consumption, as well as those who are meat-free.
Linda McCartney’s Vegetarian Roast features a turkey flavoured soya roast with lentils, sultanas, pumpkin seeds and millet, and finished with a spiced Bramley apple and pomegranate sauce.
To accompany the vegetarian roast, Linda McCartney’s stuffing balls are made with soya protein and are packed with red onions and rosemary.
Both products are available exclusively in Tesco for an RRP of £5 and £2.75 respectively.
Meanwhile, the brand’s Turkey and Cranberry Plait offers a suitable main alternative with a butternut squash, spinach, cranberry, soya and wheat protein filling, that is wrapped in a puff pastry plait. Enhanced with a turkey-flavour, the product is available exclusively in Sainsbury’s for an RRP of £2.
Nadine Maggi, managing director of Linda McCartney Foods said: “Being meat-free at Christmas can be tricky and it’s important for us to provide delicious options for our customers that exceed their expectations.
“We are very excited to be bringing back the Linda McCartney’s Vegetarian Roast this year. It’s a firm festive favourite of the McCartney family and we hope it becomes a festive tradition for many other families too.”
