Dr. Oetker introduces three traybake cake mixes in the UK

Dr. Oetker has launched a trio of traybake cake mixes to offer increased convenience for consumers.

Each kit contains frosting, a baking tray and the cake mix. Three variants are available: lemon drizzle, carrot cake, and chocolate and salted caramel.

Each mix serves 12 and requires the addition of eggs, milk, oil and butter to create the traybake.

“Typically, the UK’s favourite cake flavours are only found in whole cake mixes, which are generally suited for celebratory occasions,” said Jen Brown, head of marketing, cake and dessert, at Dr. Oetker UK.

“We wanted to launch something that was more versatile for modern mealtimes and can still be used for special events and everyday snacking.

“These three traybake mixes allow consumers to bake their favourite treats and share them at bake sales, in the office and with their loved ones. They are also the perfect addition to lunchboxes for a delicious lunchtime snack. We’re confident these will be a hit with home bakers of all abilities.”

Each kit is available in the UK with a recommended retail price of £2.50.

Last month, Dr. Oetker acquired Cake Craft World, a UK company that offers a range of cake decorations, equipment, tools, books and packaging.
