Prairie Farms Dairy has launched 12oz squeezable pouches of natural sour cream ahead of the holiday season in the US.
Suitable for mixing with tacos, chili bowls, potatoes and a range of holiday recipes, the product is made with cream and skimmed milk, and contains no artificial growth hormones.
“We understand families are busier than ever, and our new sour cream pouch makes it easy and fun to top off their favourite food and recipes. We’re happy to provide them with a quick option for an impressive presentation,” said Rebecca Leinenbach, vice president of marketing and communications at Prairie Farms.
“Support from our farmer-owners allowed us to invest in the technology to bring this product to the dairy case. Unlike many sour cream brands on the market today, Prairie Farms’ award-winning sour cream is made with local milk and cream that travels from our family farms to our manufacturing facilities within 24 hours. Local and fresh is our brand promise.”
Headquartered in Edwardsville, Illinois, Prairie Farms Dairy has 44 manufacturing plants and annual sales of more than $3 billion.
The company produces a range of ice creams, yogurts, milks, artisan cheeses and milk snacks.
