Cott Corporation has announced that its DS Services of America subsidiary has acquired water delivery service Roaring Spring Water, in a move that strengthens its customer base.
Roaring Spring Water provides water delivery service to homes and offices in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.
The deal, which includes substantially all of the assets of Roaring Spring Water for an undisclosed sum, will grow the customer base of DS Services by approximately 7,500 customers.
The agreement will enable customers of Roaring Spring Water to access Crystal Springs, the DS Services brand in the region, as well as select additional products for their orders, including coffee and tea, sparkling water beverages from Sparkling Ice and premium water products such as Mountain Valley Spring.
“Roaring Spring Water shares our focus on offering high-quality products and delivering superior customer service and strengthens our footprint and customer density in the region,” said Dave Muscato, president of DS Services.
Muscato added: “We are excited to welcome the Roaring Spring Water customers and associates to the Crystal Springs family.”
Dan Hoover, owner of Roaring Spring Water, said: “DS Services has a strong commitment to service and will continue to use the spring water from Roaring Spring, so they were a natural fit when deciding to sell the business.”
Last November, DS Services of America acquired The Water Guy, a US-based provider of water and office coffee service solution.
Earlier this month, Cott Corporation also entered into an agreement to acquire Primo Water Corporation, in a transaction that valued Primo at approximately $775 million.
