US organic chocolate brand Theo Chocolate has launched two new varieties of chocolate cups that recreate popular flavour combinations.
Theo’s Peanut Butter & Jelly Cups and Coffee & Cream Cups offer a unique take on beloved combinations.
The Peanut Butter & Jelly Cups are filled with creamy peanut butter and a sweet layer of raspberry jelly in a 55% dark chocolate shell.
Meanwhile, the Coffee & Cream Cups pay tribute to Theo’s Seattle roots and pairs dark chocolate with coffee-infused oil in a 45% milk chocolate shell.
Katy Radtke, product development manager of Theo Chocolate, said: “The Coffee & Cream Cups are a mocha-lover’s dream-come-true.
“Because the filling is made with a blend of 85% dark chocolate and coffee-infused coconut oil, it melts immediately when it hits your tongue. There is a rush of coffee flavour upfront, followed by a sweet and creamy milk chocolate finish.”
The new products join Theo’s existing line-up of organic, fair trade chocolate bars, candies which also include a variety of peanut butter cups and almond butter cups.
“‘Does the world need another peanut butter cup?’ You won’t be asking yourself that after you try one with jelly!” said Jason Harty, CMO of Theo Chocolate.
Harty added: “We want to bring more joy to your chocolate, and what better way to do that than to recreate popular flavour duos with our own touch. Peanut butter & jelly, coffee & cream, these are delicious classic combinations now made better with chocolate.”
Both flavours come packaged as a heart-shaped pair and are available to purchase online for an RRP of $2.29 followed by a roll out in grocery stores over the coming months.
