TreeHouse Foods has announced the permanent appointment of William Kelley as chief financial officer.
Kelley, who has been interim CFO since November 2019, joined TreeHouse in 2016 as corporate controller and was promoted to senior vice president, corporate and operations finance in 2018.
Before that, he spent two years as corporate controller and chief accounting officer at Hillshire Brands. Earlier in his career, Kelley held positions at USG Corporation and Cargill.
“Bill is a wonderful asset to our organisation, and I’m very happy to congratulate him on this appointment,” said Steve Oakland, TreeHouse Foods CEO.
“Having worked more closely with Bill over the last few months, his passion for our business and his collaborative approach with the organisation are apparent.
“I’m convinced that my partnership with him, coupled with his thought leadership and experience, are the right fit to continue driving TreeHouse forward.”
Illinois-headquartered TreeHouse Foods is a manufacturer and distributor of private-label packaged foods and beverages.
With more than 40 production facilities across the US, Canada and Italy, the company’s product portfolio includes cookies, in-store bakery products, snack bars, pasta, sauces and ready-to-drink coffee.
Last month, the company agreed with Post Holdings to terminate the deal to sell its ready-to-eat cereal business to Post. The decision followed a complaint filed by the Federal Trade Commission in December opposing the deal.
