FrieslandCampina Ingredients unveils high-protein gel concept

FrieslandCampina Ingredients has unveiled a new concentrated high-protein sports gel concept formulated with its Nutri Whey Isolate Clear ingredient.

According to FrieslandCampina, the high-protein concept provides a protein content of up to 15% in a convenient format, with the company claiming that it can provide an equivalent amount of high-quality protein as a 500ml sports drink.

The company also claims that the concept meets the rising demand for convenient, compact and on-the-go options in the sports nutrition sector, while the concept can also be applied to a range of applications from gel pouches to snack pots.

The concept reportedly has adaptable viscosity and a neutral taste profile, allowing manufacturers to create products with differing flavours, formats and nutritional densities.
