Kashi has unveiled a new range of ‘protein-packed’ waffles, which joins its Go line of cereals and snacks.
Reportedly featuring 100% whole grains, the new waffles come in three flavours: Wild Blueberry, Cinnamon Brown Sugar, and Vanilla Buttermilk.
Kashi says its latest offering delivers ‘single-digit’ sugar and is a source of protein derived from hemp seeds, cage-free eggs, soy and whey.
Packaged in boxes of eight, the waffles can be heated in the toaster or microwave and enjoyed for breakfast, as a snack, or as a base for recipes.
California-based Kashi’s portfolio also encompasses cereals, snack bars and entrees, all of which are reportedly Non-GMO Project Verified. The brand has been owned by Kellogg since 2000.
“Our Kashi Go line is all about offering products that fuel an active lifestyle and we saw a need to create a waffle with protein to jumpstart the day,” said Jeanne Wilson, director of marketing for Kashi.
“The existing Kashi waffles are a fan favourite and we wanted to supplement those with a new line that delivers nourishment, unparalleled taste, and convenience!”
Kashi Go Protein Waffles are now available in the US from select retailers nationwide.
