UK artisan spirits brand Berkshire Botanical has launched its second ‘quintessentially British’ flavoured gin, Rhubarb & Raspberry.
Like the brand’s original Berkshire Botanical Dry Gin, the new expression is made on the Yattendon Estate in West Berkshire.
With an ABV of 40.3%, the gin is distilled with rhubarb and raspberries and is said to combine tart flavour notes with peppery citrus spice.
The brand, which was founded by Whitley Neill creator Johnny Neill, says that its latest offering provides a perfect accompaniment to quality tonic or ‘bubbles’. It joins Berkshire Botanical’s other – Dandelion & Burdock – flavoured gin.
Johnny Neill, creator and owner of Berkshire Botanical, said: “We know that provenance and quality are increasingly important for consumers, so as a local, British brand taking inspiration from the Yattendon Estate and surrounding Berkshire countryside, we’re perfectly positioned to deliver on this trend, both with our existing products and our new Rhubarb & Raspberry variant.”
The new Berkshire Botanical Rhubarb & Raspberry Gin is available, with an RSP of £20 per 50cl bottle, from Booths. It will also be found in select Tesco stores from 31 August.
