Dole Packaged Foods has expanded its range of smoothie kits with a keto-certified frozen fruit blend and a new line of three Dole Boosted Blends.
Offering an ‘easy way’ to add fruit to a keto diet, the new Dole Keto Berry Blend contains raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, avocado and a touch of stevia.
A source of dietary fibre and vitamin C, the non-GMO offering is free from added sugars and gluten, and is certified kosher.
“Maintaining a keto diet can be challenging given the need to consume healthy fats while limiting carbs and still craving a variety of refreshing and satisfying foods,” said Fatma Kokon, director of frozen marketing at Dole Packaged Foods.
“Dole Keto Berry Blend makes it easy to add fruit to a keto diet and enjoy ripe berry flavours in a rich, creamy and convenient smoothie any time.”
Also free of added sugars, the new line of Dole Boosted Blends features a combination of fruit and ‘boosted cubes’.
Three variants are available: Protein, with whey and almond butter; Energize with matcha green tea; and Vita-C, with strawberries, pineapple and vitamin C-rich acerola.
Kokon continued: “Our Dole Boosted Blends take the fruit combinations you love in a smoothie and add a boost of energy, protein or vitamin C, in just one quick and convenient step. It’s an easy way to start the morning and make your smoothies work just a little harder for you.”
To prepare, Dole Boosted Blends can be blended one:one with any desired liquid, while 4oz of Dole Keto Berry Blend should be combined with 6oz of water.
Dole Keto Berry Blend and Dole Boosted Blends are available from the frozen fruit section of most major US retailers.
Dole Keto Berry Blend has an SRP of $3.99-4.49 per three-serving 12oz pack; the SRP for Dole Boosted Blends is $9.99-10.99, with each 32oz pack yielding four servings.
Last year, Dole introduced ‘spoonable’ fruit smoothie bowls in the US, offering a convenient and nutritious breakfast or snack option to consumers.
