Swiss coffee machine manufacturer Schaerer has formed an exclusive strategic partnership with Jetinno – a commercial coffee machine producer based in China – as the company aims to expand its position in the Asian market.
Founded in 2013, Jetinno specialises in the production of free-standing coffee vending machines, and the main focus of this partnership will be the promotion and expansion of Schaerer’s Premium Coffee Corner coffee-to-go concept.
According to Schaerer, the partnership will enable the company to meet the specific needs and preferences of consumers in Asian markets, and will optimise the company’s international supply chain as the customisable housing of the self-service machines will be produced locally.
Prior to this formal agreement, Schaerer and Jetinno worked together on a mutual production project in 2019. The companies launched a free-standing coffee solution for a Chinese coffee shop chain at the start of 2020, which combined the Schaerer Premium Coffee Engine for its coffee concept and the shell and automation components from Jetinno.
This existing trial led the companies towards this partnership, according to Schaerer CEO Jörg Schwartze: “This has shown us that we have the same high standards on quality, technology and customer orientation and are able to promote and successfully implement tailor-made self-service concepts together”.
Schwartze continued: “With Jetinno, we have an experienced partner who can support us in expanding into this very important segment in a highly attractive market.”
Eric Wu, CEO of Jetinno, added: “We are happy that the cooperation with Schaerer comes to a new chapter, we believe we can satisfy Asian customers’ requirements better by combining the advantages of Schaerer and Jetinno.”
