Cocktail mix brand Zing Zang has expanded into the alcohol aisle with the introduction of a line of spirits-based ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails.
At 9% ABV, the pre-mixed canned cocktails are available in three variants: bloody Mary, combining the brand’s bloody Mary mix – with seven vegetable juices – and gluten-free vodka; margarita, blending tequila, agave nectar and Zing Zang’s margarita mix; and bourbon whiskey sour, marrying Kentucky bourbon with the lemon, lime and orange bitter blend of Zing Zang’s sweet & sour mix.
“Consumers want bartender-quality cocktails that are convenient for at-home and on-the-go consumption,” said Brent Albertson, Zing Zang CEO.
“That’s exactly what Zing Zang has always been known and trusted to deliver. Our new RTDs are real cocktails, made with our bold Zing Zang mixes and high-quality premium spirits, unlike most canned cocktail drinks and hard seltzers which are just watered-down malt or beer-based drinks.”
Zing Zang RTD cocktails will be launched initially at liquor stores, grocery retailers, bars and restaurants in 20 US states, with additional distribution to follow in 2021. The cocktails come in 12oz cans, with an RRP of $12.99 per four-pack.
