Netzsch Group has announced that it will invest approximately €50 million over the next three years to upgrade its facility in Waldkraiburg, Germany.
The investment will enhance the operations of the company’s Netzsch Pumps and Systems unit, which produces pumps and similar solutions for the food industry and other sectors.
A new production unit will be built at the Waldkraiburg site as part of this investment programme, integrating the assembly hall and offices from the company’s existing plant on Liebigstraße in one centralised location.
This means that all Netzsch employees at the Waldkraiburg site will work from the single plant, boosting operational efficiency.
According to the company, a further €50 million will be invested worldwide over the next few years. These funds will be used for factory expansions in the US, Brazil, China and India.
In addition, further assembly centres will be added at the company’s production sites in South Africa, Australia, Thailand, Russia, Mexico and Indonesia.
A statement from the company’s management team read: “Such a project volume is unprecedented for the Netzsch Group and will tie up a significant portion of the group’s financial resources over the next years.
“This year was and is special in many respects, and Netzsch has had to cope with extraordinarily difficult situations, not only due to the global corona crisis, but also due to a cyber-attack in the summer.
“The management is therefore all the more pleased to be able to convey this positive news for the Waldkraiburg location at the end of the year.”
