Culligan-owned Quench has acquired Trusource H2O Canada, a Montreal-based provider of water dispensers, for an undisclosed figure.
Founded in 2010, Trusource currently acts as a distributor for Quench’s Wellsys water dispenser brand.
Trusource H2O’s director of operations and business development, David Lacombe, and founder Gal Karpfen will join Quench Canada’s leadership team as part of the acquisition.
Lacombe will act as Quench Canada general manager, while Karpfen has been named a national account manager for Canada.
The purchase of Trusource marks Quench’s second acquisition of 2021, following the company’s purchase of mains-fed water dispenser firm Get Filtered in January, and its tenth acquisition since the beginning of 2020.
The company has also made several efforts to expand its presence in Canada in recent times, as this acquisition follows Quench’s initial venture into the Quebec market with the purchase of Jonli Water Services in late 2019. The company also states that it has recently launched a new Canadian website to better serve customers in the country.
Tony Ibargüen, CEO of Quench, said: “We are excited to welcome Trusource’s customers and team to our growing Quench family.
“This acquisition expands our presence in Canada meaningfully and is another example of offering our dealers attractive exit opportunities.”
Karpfen, Trusource’s founder, added: “Quench’s dominance in point-of-use water coolers, combined with their world-class customer service, make them a natural acquirer for us.”
