Pretzels has expanded its snack product line with the introduction of new almond butter filled pretzels across the US.
Launched under its Harvest Road brand, the pretzels are available at select Walmart stores nationwide, followed by partnerships with retailers under their private label offerings.
“We are thrilled to launch our new almond butter filled pretzel, which exemplifies our commitment to innovation,” said Greg Pearson, CEO of Pretzels, Inc.
“Through our consumer insights research, we kept hearing requests for more variety in the pretzel category, and in particular, requests for new types of great-tasting filled pretzels,” added Pearson.
“Likewise, our customers were requesting more premium products to increase basket ring. Combining these insights with the over-performance of both filled pretzels and jarred almond butter, it was clear that we could bring high value to customers with this brand new product.”
The company says its dedicated R&D team has doubled in size over the past year and it recently announced plans for a new 150,000-square-foot production facility in Kansas.
The new offering joins the company’s portfolio of peanut butter filled pretzels, seasoned pretzels, classic pretzels, as well as organic cheese puffs.
