Kraft Heinz and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream have teamed up to launch a limited-edition macaroni and cheese flavoured ice cream in the US.
The companies’ collaboration was based on turning the comfort of a warm bowl of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese into a summer ice cream treat.
“We know that there is nothing more refreshing on a hot summer day than ice cream. That is why we wanted to combine two of the most iconic comfort foods to create an ice cream with the unforgettable flavour of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese we all grew up with,” said Emily Violett, senior associate brand manager for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.
She added: “As big fans of Van Leeuwen, we knew they’d be the perfect partner to create this ice cream with us. Not only does it taste delicious, but it’s also made with high quality ingredients and contains no artificial flavours, preservatives, or dyes just like our Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.”
The Kraft Macaroni & Cheese ice cream will be available at Van Leeuwen scoop shops and online nationwide from today, while supplies last.
Since its establishment in 2008, Van Leeuwen has gone beyond its original dairy recipe and developed vegan ice cream featuring cashew milk and oat milk bases. Earlier this year, the Brooklyn-based brand released its first line of dairy and vegan ice cream bars.
