UK spirit distributor Hi-Spirits has rolled out a peanut butter flavoured whiskey liqueur to the market: Sheep Dog Peanut Butter.
Previously available in the US, the beverage has been launched onto the UK market amid growth of the flavoured whiskey category. Hi-Spirits also predicts that nuts as a flavour will be an explosive trend over the next 12 months.
Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey’s sweet finish is described as warm and semi-dry with vanilla, peanut butter, caramel, butterscotch, subtle oak, coffee and whiskey notes.
The 35% ABV liqueur is described as versatile – best served in chilled shots, short cocktails, spritzes and hard shakes.
James Johnstone, Hi-Spirits senior marketing manager, said: “Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey was created to satisfy peanut butter lovers and whiskey fans alike, herding all into the pack.
“We can’t wait to launch this nutty, cheeky and unpretentious brand in the UK as part of the Hi-Spirits portfolio. Is this the most exciting flavour trend to hit the UK this year? We think so.”
Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey is available to purchase from Booker, Tesco and Amazon for an RRP of £22 per 700ml bottle; and will also be stocked in pubs across the country.
