Paul Charron elected as Campbell Soup Chairman

Charron, 66, has been a director of Campbell since 2003. He was Chairman and CEO of Liz Claiborne Inc from 1996 until his retirement in 2006, and held positions at Procter and Gamble and General Foods earlier in his career. Charron is currently a senior advisor at Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm, and a managing partner of Fidus Investment Partners.

Commenting on Charron’s election, Harvey Golub said: “Paul Charron is an outstanding business leader who has made valuable contributions to our Board during the past six years. His strategic insight, international perspective and consumer focus are important assets for the Board, the company and the share-owners.”
