Dunkin’ Brands Group is one of the world’s leading franchisers of quick service restaurants, serving hot and cold coffee and baked goods, as well as hard-serve ice cream.

Dunkin’ Brands is the parent company of two of the world’s most recognized and beloved brands: Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins. Dating back to the first Baskin-Robbins store in Glendale, California in 1945, the company today is best-known for its glazed doughnuts and ’31 flavours’ of ice cream.

Its entirely franchised business model currently includes more than 12,500 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants and nearly 8,000 Baskin-Robbins stores.

In 2005, Pernod Ricard, which had taken control of Allied Domecq, announced plans to sell the Dunkin’ Brands group. Dunkin’ Brands was later sold to a consortium of private equity firms consisting of Bain Capital, The Carlyle Group and Thomas H Lee Partners for $2.425 billion in cash. In 2012, Dunkin’ Brands became 100% independent.
