AB InBev has infused its Bud Light Chelada with a hot sauce to release a new spicy variant in the US.
Bud Light Chelada Fuego has been created in partnership with Mexican-American hot sauce brand Tapatio.
Bud Light Chelada first launched in 2008 and combines the beer with a Clamato tomato cocktail. The Mexican-inspired drink is available in original, mango and extra lime variants.
The brand’s new spicy offering is designed to give an “extra kick”, with the same 4.2% ABV.
Desiree Sanchis, senior brand manager at Bud Light, said: “Bud Light Chelada already has such a bold flavour loved by many, but we wanted to spice things up a bit and partner with Tapatio to give consumers the first-ever hot sauce infused Chelada.
“We are always pushing to innovate and provide consumers what they didn’t know they needed but always wanted.”
Tapatio vice president, Luis Saavedra, added: “Our team likes to have fun, and that’s what Bud Light is all about too. We are so excited to have Tapatio highlighted as the kick to the new Bud Light Chelada Fuego.”
Bud Light Chelada Fuego is available to buy in stores nationwide.
