ADM has announced the launch of a fully automated flavour production facility in Zhejiang province, China.
Located in Pinghu, the 27,000-square-metre facility is an hour away from Shanghai, which provides the company with a direct connection to customers and ‘top talent’.
The site features automated flavour lines with advanced dosing technology and laboratories built exclusively for flavour production, taste design and product development.
The complex also gives ADM the ability to cater for specific dietary requirements, including meeting the demand for halal- and kosher-certified products.
Juan Luciano, chairman and CEO of ADM, said: “Our new cutting-edge flavour facility in Pinghu will serve as ADM’s flavour supply hub in APAC, allowing us to leverage our expertise and leading-edge technologies and build out the ADM pantry to further meet customer needs and advance our growth strategy”.
This development comes after ADM opened a new plant dedicated to plant-based innovations in Singapore.
