Retail Business Services (RBS), the services company of Ahold Delhaize USA, has announced that it will remove all artificial ingredients from its private brand products by 2025.
RBS provides private brand products to Ahold Delhaize-owned stores such as Food Lion, Giant Food, GIANT/MARTIN’S, Hannaford, Peapod and Stop & Shop.
The commitment will see the company remove all synthetic colours artificial flavours, artificial preservatives, artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup from its entire portfolio of brands, which include Nature’s Promise, Taste of Inspirations and Cha-Ching.
Additionally, the company has announced that it will attempt to reduce salt and sugar through its product range in the future, produce more allergen-free products and seek ways to reduce packaging waste.
