Bel Group ups its stake in fruit desserts company MOM Group

The Bel Group has acquired an additional 17.56% stake in fruit compotes and desserts manufacturer MOM Group, taking its ownership stake up to 82.5%.

The company first acquired a 65% majority interest in MOM Group back in 2016, intending to turn MOM Group into a major global player in the healthy snacks sector.

MOM Group offers a range of snack foods – including vegetable, smoothie and yogurt pouches – and fruit and dairy desserts under brands such as Materne, Pom’Potes, GoGo squeeZ and Mont Blanc.

The transaction also reinforces Bel’s commitment of expanding its activities beyond cheese products into the dairy, fruit and plant-based market segments.
