Berlin Packaging purchases Vidrimon in fourth European acquisition this year

Berlin Packaging has sealed a deal to acquire glass packaging supplier Vidrimon, as it expands its Southern Europe footprint with increased presence in Spain and Portugal.

Located in Montilla, Spain, Vidrimon has experienced years of sustained organic growth as a supplier of olive oil bottles and glass packaging in the beverage sector. It will be integrated into the Bruni Glass organisation under a new company name, Bruni Glass Iberia, a Berlin Packaging Company.

The acquisition will expand Berlin Packaging’s portfolio and enhance its ability to provide customers with the most complete offering in a wide range of industry segments, while Vidrimon customers will now be able to fulfil their glass, plastic and metal packaging and closure needs.

With warehouses across Europe and with over 100 locations in North America, the combined company will offer customers on both continents support for penetrating global markets.

Both Berlin Packaging and Vidrimon suppliers will gain access to a combined 200-person sales force in North America and Europe, as well as a database of packaging customers and prospects that has grown to over 150,000.

Berlin Packaging is a $2.6 billion supplier of rigid packaging products. Vidrimon marks Berlin’s 12th overall acquisition since 2010 and fourth in Europe since 2019, adding strategic locations in France, Italy, the Netherlands and now Spain.

With integration planning of the two businesses under way, Vidrimon’s employees and location will be retained.
