Biotiful Dairy unveils new vanilla liquid kefir flavour

UK-based Biotiful Dairy has expanded its liquid kefir portfolio with the addition of a new vanilla flavour.

Said to contain billions of gut-friendly bacteria, the new offering is made by fermenting British milk with live kefir grains and then adding a natural vanilla flavour.

According to Biotiful, the cultured milk drink is high in protein and calcium, and ‘packed’ with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin B12.

Biotiful founder, Natasha Bowes, said: “It’s great to be adding this new ‘classic’ flavour to our growing liquid kefir proposition as we know there is strong consumer demand for this flavour within the dairy category.

“Sales have continued to soar over the last year (+80% over the last two years) as we see demand for functional gut health products that help support immunity naturally become increasingly important.

“We’re very grateful to have the support of Morrisons to launch this new flavour and look forward to hearing what our customers think.”

With an RRP of £2.25 per 500ml bottle, the new flavour is available across 423 Morrisons stores, with a further roll out planned for later this year.

Last year, Biotiful added mango and blackcurrant variants to its liquid kefir portfolio.
