Blue Diamond Growers has expanded into the non-dairy yogurt alternative category as it aims to capitalise on surging consumer demand for dairy-free options.
Almond Breeze Almondmilk Yogurt Alternative is available on its own or with six crunchy topping options, including: toasted almonds, honey roasted almonds and granola, chocolate almonds and chocolate chips, coconut almonds and chocolate chips, blueberry almonds and oat clusters, and sea salt caramel and pretzel.
The product is also available without toppings in a 24oz pack and comes in two flavours: original and vanilla.
Suzanne Hagener, director of brand marketing for Blue Diamond, said: “Consumers are seeking more delicious plant-based foods. We believe our yogurt, made from Almond Breeze almond milk, is the perfect way to satisfy the need for tasty plant-based options.
“We developed single-serve sidecar cups that pair the deliciously creamy Almond Breeze Almondmilk Yogurt Alternative with the crunchy goodness of Blue Diamond almonds and other toppings to bring innovation to the growing plant-based yogurt space. Dairy-free can be exciting, and that’s exactly what we’ve created here.”
Almond Breeze Almondmilk Yogurt Alternative is now available in grocers in the US northeast.
Earlier this year, Blue Diamond boosted its Almond Breeze range with the launch of two creamers and an almond milk blended with bananas.
The company has since entered into a multi-year license agreement with Grupo Lala, which is marketing and distributing its Almond Breeze beverages in Mexico.
