Beam Suntory’s Basil Hayden’s Bourbon brand has partnered with Utah-based creamery Beehive Cheese to launch a special-edition bourbon-infused cheese.
Pour Me A Slice features a semi-firm, Jersey cow’s milk cheese that is infused with Basil Hayden’s Bourbon that ‘tastes sweet with a hint of spice’.
The owner of brands such as Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark, Beam Suntory claims the special-edition cheese pairs nicely with Basil Hayden’s neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Beehive Cheese to create a special addition to their line-up of expertly crafted cheeses,” said Rob Mason, VP of marketing for Beam Suntory’s whiskeys.
Mason added: “Basil Hayden’s has always valued creating expressions that are best enjoyed with friends and family, so we think ‘Pour Me A Slice’ is a perfect pairing when sharing our bourbon with friends and family.”
Co-founder of Beehive Cheese Pat Ford said: “Our goal is to craft cheeses that bring people together through their elevated, artisanal flavour.
“We’re excited to partner with Basil Hayden’s because the trademark spice of this bourbon adds a really unique flavour to the cheese that makes it perfect for a gathering or gifting.”
Pour Me A Slice is available now online for an RRP of $5.49 per 4-ounce pre-packed wedge and will be available in select retailers across the US in the next few months.
