Brave Robot releases plant-based cake mix

The Urgent Company‘s Brave Robot, a plant-based ice cream brand, has launched an animal-free cake mix – Climate Hero Super Cake.

Packaged in a compostable bag, the shelf-stable, animal-free cake mix requires only oil and water. Climate Hero Super Cake is made with  Perfect Day’s animal-free milk protein, which replaces the equivalent of three eggs.

The protein is also used in Brave Robot’s ice cream brand. According to Brave Robot, each 17.5oz bag makes two eight-inch round cakes.

“We’re thrilled to provide more indulgent dessert options that are not just exceptional in flavour and texture, but also kinder to the Earth,” said August Vega, Brave Robot’s president.

Kosher-certified OUD and lactose-free, Climate Hero Super Cake is available at $18 per 17.5oz bag.
