Caldic and Cargill have reached an agreement to make Caldic Ingredients Deutschland GmbH the exclusive distribution partner for Cargill’s cocoa and chocolate in Germany and Austria.
As a result of the deal, customers will be offered a wide range of Cargill food raw materials, as well as solutions for various applications to help their businesses.
The news follows the recently announced partnership which made Caldic the exclusive distribution partner for Cargill’s starches, sweeteners and texturisers in the German and Austrian market.
By collaborating with Cargill, Caldic will expand its offerings to customers in the confectionery, ice cream, baked goods, ready-made meals, dairy products, food and beverage market segments.
Caldic Ingredients Deutschland GmbH is a part of the Caldic Group and serves the food, life science and industrial applications market segments.
“Adding the Cargill cocoa and chocolate portfolio perfectly complements our current programme of food specialities”, says Dr Stephan Neis, managing director of Caldic Deutschland GmbH.
Neis added: “In addition to Cargill’s starches, sweeteners and texturisers, this new agreement for Cargill cocoa and chocolate is an exciting development. Our employees are looking forward to offering our customers a wide range of products and application solutions to contribute to their business success.”
Inge Demeyere, managing director of Cargill’s chocolate and compound activities in Europe, said: “Caldic has profound knowledge of the market and a strong presence in Germany and Austria.
“Caldic’s excellent customer service and the way they develop solutions for customers are unrivalled and are a perfect match for Cargill. We are very pleased about this agreement, as we were able to join forces to offer improved service to food producers in the entire region.”
