Producer of Nestlé cereal brands, Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), has released a new range of ‘gut-friendly’ breakfast cereal in the UK, as it aims to promote gut health and digestive wellness.
Launched under its brand GoodBelly, the cereal is high in oat fibre for healthy digestion and contains live cultures, which are usually found in dairy products such as yogurts and supplements.
The line-up features wholegrain oat flakes in two flavours: Apple, Cranberry & Pumpkin Seeds and Blueberry, Banana, Pumpkin Seeds and a dash of Ginger. The range contains no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.
Toby Baker, regional marketing director of CPW said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to making breakfast better, we’re excited to provide a breakfast cereal that helps get consumers on the path to a ‘healthy gut’ – as we believe when your tummy feels good, all else follows.
“With a team of nutrition and food science experts behind us, we created GoodBelly Cereal which is high in oat fibre to support a healthy digestion and also contains live cultures.”
The Swiss company is a joint venture between Nestlé and General Mills (GMI) and is the maker of Nestlé cereals such as Nesquick, Shredded Wheat, Cheerios and Shreddies.
The new cereal range is available at Tesco, with a broader release to other major retailers planned for 2020.
