Charlie Bigham’s has expanded its range of premium ready meals with the introduction of four new products in the UK.
Bigham’s has expanded its vegetarian product line with the introduction of a Paneer Tikka Masala dish and added a Thai Green Chicken Curry product to its World Cuisine range. Both meals contain two servings, and have a suggested retail price of £7.75 per meal.
Meanwhile, Bigham’s has extended its Pan Fry range with new Pan Fry Satay Chicken Curry and Pan Fry Keralan Chicken Curry meal kits, both of which are available for a suggested retail price of £7.50 per kit.
All four new dishes are now available nationwide from Waitrose stores.
Bigham’s claims that year-to-date sales are 15% ahead of forecasts since the Covid-19 crisis began, which the company attributes to the increased consumer demand for restaurant-quality dishes at home.
Patrick Cairns, Bigham’s CEO, says: “These new dishes have been carefully developed to complement our existing curry range, to offer more choice to current Bigham’s shoppers and attract new consumers, including those looking for vegetarian mealtime inspiration.
The company has also claimed that its recently launched Proper Puds range of ready-to-bake puddings has exceeded initial sales targets by 80%, and the range has now been introduced to Ocado.”
