CJ Bio has launched a new savoury flavour business and inaugurated the $50 million facility in Indonesia which will produce its TasteNrich solution.
A business unit of Korean food company CJ Cheiljedang, CJ Bio produces fermentation-based bio ingredients for the food and feed industries.
Its new manufacturing facility, located in Jombang, Indonesia, will reportedly allow CJ Bio to produce thousands of tons of its new TasteNrich ingredient.
TasteNrich is a ‘natural savoury’ flavour said to deliver richness and fullness in a wide range of applications, including sauces, seasonings, noodles and meat alternatives.
It is also consistent with claims such as non-GMO, non-allergen, and Halal/Kosher-certified, according to CJ Bio.
“We are proud to offer a sophisticated natural culinary solution to meet the increasing demand for healthier, sustainable and safe products,” said BongSoo Hah, head of CJ Bio.
“TasteNrich is differentiated from the other existing products and is fully in line with today’s consumer expectations for authenticity and naturalness.”
