Baking powder manufacturer Clabber Girl Corporation has signed a deal with Diageo to release Baileys-flavoured baking chocolate chips.
Clabber Girl said the baking chips deliver the flavour and smell of the cream liqueur and can be enjoyed as a snack or as part of a baking mix.
Gary Morris, president and COO at Clabber Girl Corporation, said: “Clabber Girl has been a trusted partner and friend to bakers and home cooks for more than 150 years. We are thrilled to entrust our relationships with these valued customers with Baileys and are extremely proud of what we together have created.”
The baking chips, which are non-alcoholic, are available at a few select US retailers for the 2018 holiday season, with a full national launch planned for Easter 2019.
Earlier this year, Diageo expanded its Baileys offering with a 13% ABV dairy-free version made from almond milk.
Baileys launched in Ireland in 1974 and the beverage is now available in 180 markets worldwide.
