Fermented food brand Cleveland Kitchen is expanding its line of lightly fermented pickles with the introduction of two new varieties.
Described as ‘not overly sweet’, Bread & Butta ($6.99) is a bread and butter pickle. The sandwich topper is made with ripe cucumbers and is said to support gut health.
Meanwhile, King Kosher ($7.99) is a crunchy whole cucumber pickle with the classic Cleveland Kitchen flavour of dilly garlic.
“Mom used to make the best bread and butter pickles ever – every summer she’d take the best cucumbers she got from farmers while running our local farmers’ markets and would jar up 30 jars for the season,” said Drew Anderson, CEO of Cleveland Kitchen.
“We all got pulled into her pickling assembly line to help out – it was a whole process but they were so delicious later on that it was worth it. When we went to our test kitchen to make our new pickle flavours, we strove to make them as good as our mom’s – and we’re proud of the result.”
