Coca-Cola Europacific Partners has announced a trial of refillable on-the-go solutions at a sustainable convenience store located in Sweden.
The pilot has been launched in Reitan Convenience’s PBX store and aims to test consumers’ response to refillable beverage containers and the potential of these solutions to reduce waste.
The trial is in collaboration with Swedish company Glacial, which creates reusable stainless steel tumblers designed to keep drinks cold for up to 12 hours.
Consumers are encouraged to buy a beverage container to fill or bring their own and can choose from more than 60 flavours from brands including Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, FuzeTea and Smartwater, some of which aren’t available packaged for retail.
The aim is for consumers to recognise the possibility of reducing waste and greenhouse gas emissions.
