Danone has expanded its Wallaby range of Australian-style yogurts with a new line featuring chef-inspired flavours.
Aussie Crème Yogurts are branded as Wallaby’s answer to a more mindful dessert without sacrificing bold flavour. Three flavours are available: spiced peach, strawberry red wine, and caramelised pineapple.
Danone said Aussie Crème is mindfully crafted to be a “super indulgent” experience using 8.5% milkfat yogurt infused with a dulce de leche flavour that is “worth slowing down to enjoy”.
In a statement, the company said: “We like to call it slow-yo. Slow-yo is representative of the Aussie state of mind, giving consumers a uniquely mellow, delightful taste, while encouraging them to slow down and enjoy the moment.”
The organic and gluten-free Aussie Crème Yogurt range is available this month in US Whole Foods stores, retailing for $1.79.
California-based Wallaby was acquired in 2015 by WhiteWave Foods for approximately $125 million. The brand was acquired by Danone as part of the $12.5 billion WhiteWave Foods merger.
Last year, Danone dropped the WhiteWave name a year after completing the deal.
