Darling Ingredients has announced the opening of a new product research centre in the Netherlands.
The new facility aims to help customers of Darling Ingredients’ Sonac Functional Products brand to develop innovative new meat and savoury products.
At the Sonac Product and Application Research Center (SPARC), customers will have the opportunity to try out different recipes and application possibilities using Sonac’s QRange animal proteins.
SPARC has been designed to allow large-scale tests using industrial processes and equipment and aims to help companies to develop commercially viable new products.
The facility is located next to Sonac’s food-grade production facility in Vuren, where sustainable ingredients for food as well as animal nutrition are manufactured.
“Thanks to SPARC*, we can now support and educate customers from all over the world better than ever before,” said Arjan van Waes, director of Sonac Functional Products.
“We look forward to working together on the opportunities that our QRange proteins offer for creating innovative meat and savoury products.”
