Dutch spirits company De Kuyper Royal Distillers has debuted a new range of alcohol-free premixed cocktails, as it taps into the low- and no-alcohol trend.
De Kuyper Zero’s range includes four non-alcoholic variants: De Kuyper Zero Mojito, described as a “refreshing and minty classic”, it combines lime, mint, Caribbean sugar cane and mineral water; De Kuyper Zero Strawberry Daiquiri, a blend of strawberry, lime and sugar cane; De Kuyper Zero Margarita, a mix of flavours of lime, orange and agave; and De Kuyper Zero Pornstar Martini, which features flavours of passionfruit, vanilla and lime.
De Kuyper’s master distiller, Myriam Hendrickx, said: “We really went further, using botanicals and some secret ingredients to match the characteristics of alcohol. De Kuyper Zero cocktails have the proper taste, with recognisable flavour elements fitting the cocktail, for instance, rum and tequila, but also an astringent and contracting effect in the mouth, which gives you a real kick and the experience of an adult drink.”
De Kuyper’s CEO, Mark de Witte, added: “De Kuyper Zero is the answer to the rising no- and low-alcohol trend. Four classic non-alcoholic cocktails for the increasing number of consumers who want to enjoy social moments without alcohol or moderate drinking and who don’t want to compromise.”
Each premixed alcohol-free cocktail comes in a 200ml glass bottle and is available at retailers across the Netherlands.
