DFA to close Country Delite facility in Nashville

Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) has announced plans to close its Country Delite Farms manufacturing facility in Nashville, US, in February 2022.

The Country Delite plant produces a wide range of milk products. DFA said that the closure will not impact its other Nashville factory, which produces Purity Dairy products.

“Business decisions that impact people’s lives are always difficult,” said Tom Murray, DFA dairy brands south president. “We evaluated multiple options to make the facility profitable, and it became apparent that ceasing operations were the best long-term strategy. The employees at this facility have done an excellent job, and we greatly appreciate all their hard work and dedication.”

DFA will work with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development to support employees impacted by the closing.
