Drinkworks, a joint venture by Keurig and AB InBev, and Brown-Forman have launched a co-branded Jack Daniel’s Lynchburg Lemonade pod to be used in Drinkworks Home Bar system.
The launch marks the first collaboration cocktail offering since the partnership was made between Drinkworks and Brown-Forman back in November last year.
In the same month last year, AB InBev and Keurig launched the Drinkworks Home Bar in the US, an appliance which prepares cocktails, beers and ciders using proprietary pods.
The new cocktail features Lynchburg Lemonade, produced by Drinkworks and made with ‘real’ lemonade, blended with Brown-Forman’s Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.
According to the companies, the cocktail is best enjoyed over ice with a lemon slice.
“We’ve long been fans of Jack Daniel’s and are delighted to launch our first collaboration cocktail with such an iconic brand,” said Drinkworks CEO, Nathaniel Davis.
“The Lynchburg Lemonade is the next step in our journey to elevate everyday entertaining experience, released just in time for summer. We’re thrilled at the opportunity to continue evolving our portfolio to feature brands our consumers love and trust.”
Matt Blevins, Jack Daniel’s global brand director, added: “Lynchburg Lemonade has been a classic cocktail for decades especially as our friends celebrate the return of warmer weather.
“With the rise of at-home consumption during the current environment at an all-time high, this new collaboration provides a convenient way to enjoy a Lynchburg Lemonade from the comfort of your home with the Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig.”
Drinkworks and Brown-Forman plan to release additional cocktails later this year which will likely include Gentleman Jack, Herradura and Chambord, classic cocktails like Margaritas and Manhattans as well as more adventurous cocktails like French Martinis.
From May 11, Lynchburg Lemonade Pods will be available to purchase for a limited time on drinkworks.com and through select retailers for an RRP of $16.99 per tube.
